Bitumen

Bitumen is a sticky, black, and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid form of petroleum. The primary use (over 70%) of bitumen is in road construction, where it is used as the glue or binder mixed with aggregate particles to create asphalt concrete.

Applications

Bitumen is widely applied in construction and maintenance of roads, airport landing fields, pedestrian paving, parking lots, roof tops, dams, reservoir linings, pipe coatings, ink production and so on.
